Capturing Your Special Day
For over 30 years I've worked behind the camera for broadcasters including MTV, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery and many of the world's leading brands.
Throughout that time I've interviewed thousands of people from every walk of life, from celebrities and business leaders to Prime Ministers and members of the public who had never appeared on camera before.
One thing I've learned is that most people don't enjoy being photographed.
In fact, many people actively dislike having a camera pointed at them. My job has always been to help people relax, forget about the camera and simply be themselves.
That's why my approach to wedding photography is very different from traditional wedding photography.
Rather than spending hours directing, posing and arranging people, I look for genuine moments as they naturally unfold. The laughter between friends, the look on a parent's face during the ceremony, the tears that appear unexpectedly during a speech, the nervous excitement before you walk down the aisle and the moments of pure joy that can't be staged.
Years of producing television programmes have taught me how to anticipate these moments before they happen. I understand how people react, where emotion is likely to emerge and how to position myself to capture it without interrupting it.
I also understand that most couples don't want to spend their wedding day standing in front of a camera.
Your wedding day should be spent celebrating with the people you love, not disappearing for hours of formal photography.
My aim is simple: to create beautiful photographs while allowing you to enjoy your wedding day as naturally as possible.
The result is a collection of images that reflect what your wedding actually felt like, rather than simply what it looked like.
